Bible Block Inspiration Quilting Bee
Hosted by Jennifer Leigh with the assistance of Nancy Snyder
The Bible Block Inspiration Quilting Bee class will provide patterns for six different quilt blocks. We will offer a variety of twelve patterns to choose from. This will give you the ability to choose blocks based from the Old and the New Testament. Each of the Quilting blocks will have a reference Bible verse that will inspire thoughts while preparing and sewing. As each block is built, it is interesting to see them come together as a whole. Like all other quilts prepared by someone, this quilt will also have a story. What will your story be?
As a quilter awaits the time to gather at the next quilting bee, the collection of fabric and happy thoughts of sewing build with joy. Returning with excitement and eager to catch up with friends of old and new, each day will await its own journey. During this quilting class we are excited to greet each and every one. Both, Nancy and I are quilters at the Ozark Folk Center State Park Craft Village. We both are hand quilters and do our piece work by machine. We would love the opportunity to visit, share methods and techniques of quilting. We would also like to invite you to visit the quilt shop in the craft village during your visit and stay.

Farm Girl Quilt
Taught by Daphne Higginbotham
Come join us for a great retreat class! This quilt is easy to make, using the same block over and over. Blocks have setting strips which make a secondary star design. Set your quilt off with a piano key border and star corner stones.
You choose your own colorway. This is a great project for using your scrap fabrics! I made mine with jewel-tone scraps but you can also make it in a more color-controlled pallet. Reds and greens for Christmas, Spring pastel colors, Fall colors, 30's re-production fabrics, whatever pleases you!!
There is no pattern to buy and you will use your own quilting supplies. The approximate size is: 76” x 95”. You can always add another border if you want a larger quilt.
A $50.00 teacher reserve deposit should be mailed directly to me. (if the class is canceled for any reason, I will refund this deposit to you.) I will send your cutting instructions and supply list once I receive this deposit. Please send your resereve as early as possible so you will have plenty of time to gather your fabrics and get all your pre-cutting done before the retreat.
I look forward to seeing you and Happy Quilting!
