To those country music fans that know the name Billy Don Burns, it looms large. But the truth of the matter is, not many know the name. They know the names of Merle Haggard and Johnny Paycheck—two men who Billy Don Burns has produced albums for. But there is so much more. Billy is an accomplished songwriter and performer and has been a stalwart of the so called “outlaw” country music scene since the 1970’s.
Though a generation apart, Josh Morningstar seems to have found kindred musical companion with Billy Don Burns. The two have been performing together for some time and the pairing is perfect. Both men have an endless supply of red dirt songs that tell stories, straight from the heart. When not touring, Josh keeps a vigilant songwriting schedule in Nashville. In the event of a cancelation, tickets for this show can be used for other Feature Concerts at the Ozark Folk Center State Park during the calendar year. Refunds for cancelled shows can/will also be processed, at the request of the ticket holder.
