ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for two nights of old-time mountain music and dance at the Folk Center's 1,000-seat indoor music venue, Ozark Highlands Theater, on Memorial Day weekendYou'll enjoy performances by favorite Ozark Folk Center bands, dancers, and alumni musicians from the Folk Music Capital of Mountain View on May 24th and 25th. Proudly sponsored by Stone Bank.

Performers include:

- Shawn Camp, two-time GRAMMY award-winner for Best Folk Album (Guy Clark) and Best Bluegrass Album (Jerry Douglas' Earls of Leicester). Shawn is an acclaimed singer, songwriter, and country musician from Perryville, Arkansas.
- Tim Crouch, two-time National Fiddle Champion, multi-instrumentalist, and well-known Nashville session musician from Strawberry, Arkansas. He's performed and recorded for the likes of Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Alison Krauss, Dierks Bently, Marty Raybon, Ricky Skaggs and Charlie Pride to name a few.
- Seth Shumate, accomplished old-time harmonica player using the techniques from pre-WWII harmonica masters to complement, often note for note, the melody of the fiddle as well as performing a well-developed rhythmic style. Seth will be joined by acclaimed fiddler Roy Pilgrim. Seth and Roy perform with The Ozark Highballers from Fayetteville, Arkansas.
- Love Holler, old time family trio from Love Holler in Batesville featuring the un-matched harmony singing of twin sisters Emma and Caroline Russell on guitar and clawhammer banjo. The girls are joined by their father Stacy on doghouse bass and other oddities like the "shruti" from India.
- George Hulsey, known as "John Denver of the Ozarks" by friends and admirers, Hulsey is accomplished ballad singer and musician from Mountain View, Arkansas and will be accompanied by two-time Arkansas CMA Award nominee Mary Parker.
- The Parker Unit, family string band featuring 13-time state fiddle champion, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Mary Parker, National Mandolin Champion Runner-up Gordon Parker, and 10-year old youth fiddle champion Charlene Parker.
