Orange Peel Quilt with Emphasis on Applique taught by Rita Madson
Learn the Orange Peel pattern using freezer paper to make even, rounded seams. Each finished peel square measures 6.5 inches.
After mastering the Orange Peel, we will be moving on to the various applications of applique. Numerous patterns will be provided for you to design your own finished project, whether it’s a border for a quilt or a table runner or wall hanging. Learn shortcuts, hand applique verses machine applique, make your own patterns, the use of mylar, heat bond and stabilizer.
Various kits and tools will be available for purchase, or bring your own backing and scraps to design your own project.
Our classroom will once again be located inside the beautiful Ozark Folk Center Craft Village. The sights and sounds of the Park will keep you inspired and get your creative juices going.
