This two-day class is an intensive for those who want to grow plants in pots and other containers. From greenhouse and cold frame to deck and porch gardens, this class will delve deeply into the mysteries of plants.  Receive keys to help herbs thrive. Properly prune, take cuttings and divide roots. Understand soil-less growing medium and fertilizers. Scout out pests and diseases and gain ways to safely control them.  You will receive hands-on instruction, handouts, herb cuttings and divisions and inspiration to get growing.

Bring sharp pruning shears and pocket knife, serrated steak knife and a cardboard box big enough to hold two 1-gallon containers for transporting cuttings and potted plants. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and for working in a greenhouse. Comfortable shoes suitable for gardening recommended.

Pre-registration is required two weeks prior to the beginning of class.

Registration fee - $43, due when you sign up

Class and Materials Fee - $200 due directly to Tina on the first day of class.

Tina Marie Wilcox has been the head gardener and herbalist at the Ozark Folk Center’s Heritage Herb Garden since 1984.  Her horticultural expertise is vast and her teaching style, enthusiastic and entertaining.
