In this 3-day class, you'll start with a flat sheet of metal and cut out various shapes with a pair of tin snips. You'll then fold, roll, bend, and solder these shaped into cookie cutters, cups, tankards, coffee pots, candle holders, canteens, wall sconces and many other various objects.
You'll learn tool selection and maintenance. How to cut with tinsnips, how to rivet, how to solder, how to bend, shape and form sheet metal and hopefully have a lot of fun.
Depending on the size and shape of the pieces, most students finish and take home 8 to 12 items that they made this week.
Robert has been working with Tinplate and various sheet metals for more than 30 years. He always makes this a fun, enjoyable and informative class.
Total cost of three day class $325, includes all materials.
If you would like to stay for an additional two days and make this a 5 day class, the additional class and materials fee is $170 due directly to Robert.
